About Us

The Wordroom opened its door in 2006 by me, Nolan Mills. I started out at a provincial advertising agency, working through a series of creative roles before moving client-side into marketing - finally with a leading media plc.
I’ve worked with many agencies including AMVBBDO, HHCL, DFGW, Bromptons and River; media buyers ARM and Mediacom, PR specialists Propeller and Grayling; designers The Sandom Group and research consultants Roy Graham and NOP.

Redundancy created an opportunity to get rid of the suit and bring 17 years of professional experience ‘in house’. With marketing communications and writing in my family DNA (Dad’s a writer and illustrator, brother’s a senior writer at FCBDraft and my daughter's an account manager at Creata in Sydney.) I wanted to get back to my own VP – vocational passion.

Today the team comprises two writers with access to designers, web specialists and other key creatives.
